How much does it cost?

Club dues - a fee to maintain membership in the club - are paid annually. Partial fees are available for membership part-way through the financial year. The charge for the beginner's course is payable before the course begins. For current pricing, please contact us.

When can I shoot?

Club shooting days are Sunday, 9am to 12pm. 

Can I take part in competitions?

Yes. A typical first competition for new archers is the Wellington Archery Association 600 (WAA 600) where you are trying to achieve a score, instead of competing against other archers. We host a variety of competitions throughout the year.

Do I need my own gear?

Not at first. Once you have completed your beginner's course you may shoot at the range with club equipment for six weeks. After that, you will need to purchase your own gear. You can ask club members for advice.

How long is the beginner's course?

Our beginner's courses take place one day a week - usually Sunday afternoon but times may vary - over three weeks.

What should I wear?

Sensible clothing suitable for the conditions, but footwear must always be closed. Sandals or other open-toed footwear are not permitted.

Are there age limits?

Ten years old is the lower age limit and there is no upper age limit.

I'm visiting from another range - can I shoot at your range?

Yes, as long as you have completed a relevant beginner's course at your home range, have your own equipment, and pay a $10 range fee.
